Pilates is an excellent choice of complimentary training for a runner as it is very low impact so will not place the body under further stress while strengthening the very important core stabilising muscles and helping maintain good biomechanics under fatigue. If you think core strengthening is the only benefit you will reap from Pilates practise then think again because it may even improve your running performance!

How do I commence with Pilates?

  • Clinical Pilates(*)– Book initial assessment & introductory class here (select Wembley> Pilates)
    • You start the Clinical Pilates journey with a one to one supervised session to help our team assess your needs (clinical, mat or pilates circuit) and also help you get the hang of things.

  • Mat Pilates- Your strength and agility journey is fun with others in our Mat Pilates classes. Great for strength, flexibility and co-ordination utilising floor mats, fit balls and all the equipment!
