HBF Run For A Reason Course 2019

Join our 10th Annual HBF Run For A Reason 12k and Half Marathon Training Course and Beat Your Best on Sunday 19th May, 2019! 

 

We are excited to launch our 10th annual HBF Training Course for 2019. The HBF Half Marathon is one of Western Australia’s premier fun runs and has developed a strong following amongst running enthusiasts looking to post a PB time on the iconic course through central Perth.

As one of our most popular Front Runner courses, we are excited to once again offer the 2019 course across 3 locations with 2 different training options! Choose from South of the River (Deep Water Point) plus West Perth Morning and Lake Monger Afternoon options to ensure we provide you with expert coaching, as well as convenience to accommodate your work and lifestyle demands. 

The Half Marathon or 12km training course is equally suited to those looking to run their first half marathon/12km, regular joggers with some fun run experience or regular runners looking to lower an existing personal best with a periodised build up to the event in a fun and friendly training environment. 

As always, you can trust our expert coaching team to deliver excellence in knowledge and professional service at all training sessions as you team up with a fun and friendly group of fellow enthusiasts aiming to beat their best! The course will fill quickly so do not delay in signing up.


Two Training Options (10 Week Training Course Commences 11th March 2019)

3 Group Sessions per week – $299 (inc. GST, race entry not included)
2 Group Sessions per week – $215 (inc. GST, race entry not included)

West Perth (AM)

  • Tempo, Tuesday 6.00-7.00am The Running Centre (West Perth)
  • 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half marathon only)
  • Threshold run, Thursday 6.00-7.00am The Running Centre (West Perth Endurance,
  • Saturday 6.30-8.15am The Running Centre (West Perth) 

South of the River (Deep Water Point)

  • Tempo, Tuesday 6.00-7.00am Deep Water Point
  • 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half marathon only)
  • Threshold run, Thursday 6.00-7.00am Deep Water Point Endurance,
  • Saturday 6.30-8.15am The Running Centre (West Perth) 

Lake Monger (PM)

  • Tempo, Monday 5.30-6.45pm Lake Monger (Dodd Street)
  • 1 x per week Self Directed Easy Run (Half marathon only)
  • Threshold run, Thursday 5.30-6.45pm Lake Monger (Dodd Street)
  • Endurance, Saturday 6.30-8.15am The Running Centre (West Perth) 

Community: as Perth’s favourite and most trusted training group, we cater for beginners, fun runners or advanced. Any age and ability!

Workbook: Each course participant receives a comprehensive training guide, including full training programs for the 10 week half marathon and 12km courses.

Great structure: a 10-week, course specific training plan, including 3 supervised sessions per week with expert coaching and guidance. Commencing Monday, March 11th 2019.

Objectivity: have your training pace zones prescribed and reassessed throughout the course to quantify your training and measure your improvement.

Specificity: event specific training sessions throughout the course PLUS a pre-event course review two weeks prior to race day.

Value: 10 weeks for only $215/$299 per person (less than $10 per coached session).
