Junior Development Squad

The Front Runner Junior Development Squad is a structured training squad for children aged between 11-14 years, who are beginning to show a keen interest in running.   Our squad works within two pathways, Sprints and Endurance.  Both squads will teach your child our values of consistency, teamwork and goal setting.

Our focus is the individual development and progress of each child and we also highly value the role of mentoring in our programmes. As such, all our Junior Development training is at same time as our Elite squads to allow natural interaction, facilitate aspiration to develop within each child and also show a clear pathway to the highest levels if and when your child decides that is their motivation.

As your child develops they will start to develop a preference for certain activities however it is imperative that during this time your child continues to get exposure to a wide variety of sports and activities as specialisation too early will actually limit your child’s long term outcomes.
Training Schedule as of 1st September 2018
