Harman and Saucony expand partnership

Front Runner Elite, Nic Harman (23) has expanded his commercial partnership with American shoe company, Saucony on the approach to his debut Marathon on the Gold Coast in July.

During the past twelve months, Harman has progressed from a relatively unknown to one of Australia’s most exciting long distance prospects. His selection on the 2018 Commonwealth Half Marathon team followed on from his 3rd  and 4th place finishes at the 2018 Australian Half Marathon Championships and National Cross Country Championships on consecutive weekends last August. The diminutive West Australian has followed a slow and consistent path to success over the past 7 years and is now uniquely well positioned for a long international career at the Marathon.

Harman said of the partnership: “Seven years ago, I began formal training and it was then I purchased my first pair of running shoes, the Saucony Triumph 10. Ever since then, I have gone through countless pairs of Guides, Kinvaras, Fastwitch and Type As. With my consistent growth as a long distance runner, I have maintained the utmost trust in Saucony as a premium running shoe brand for runners of all abilities. I believe that Saucony goes beyond being a superior product by adding to the spirit of running in communities with their #runstrong message. Their initiatives all over the globe promote inclusiveness and positivity, values that strongly resonate with me personally.”

Saucony Australia General Manager, Levi Moss commented: “We are super excited to work closer with Nic moving forward. As a running brand that has a long history in the sport, you always want to be connected with good people and an athlete that just gets your brand. It’s a great fit for Saucony as Nic is passionate about the broader running community and is driven to succeed not only for himself, but for his whole team. To us, this equates to the start of a great partnership with Nic heading into his debut marathon on the Gold Coast and into the future”.

Front Runner High Performance director Raf Baugh stated: “For our athletes, the most important aspect of product selection is trust. The partnership between Nic and Saucony is one built on a genuine synergy with his high cadence and natural efficiency and the responsive Saucony product offering. As we seek for athletes within our Front Runner elite team to represent our state and country with distinction, partnerships such as this are integral to our athletes being able to become professional athletes with adequate product and financial support to reach their full potential”.
