Here at Front Runner Physiotherapy, we want to see everyone achieve their physical, health, and performance goals. We are incredibly fortunate to have a team with wealth of experience with AFL physiotherapy.

The most common presentations we see with our AFL clients include:

Staff with AFL experience:

  • Steve Gravina
    • Steve spent 8 years working as the team physiotherapist for the West Coast Eagles in the AFL for 8 years including being part of West Coast’s 2018 AFL premiership.
    • During his time at the club, Steve played a key role in the team’s injury prevention and rehabilitation programs, and collaborated closely with the team’s medical, strength & conditioning, sport science, sport nutrition, psychology and coaching staff to optimise individual and team performance.
    • Prior to that he has been the team physiotherapist for the Western Australian State Academy under 16’s & 18’s, as well at the Claremont Football Club
  • Kieren Hill          
    • Kieren has experience working in the WAFL with the East Fremantle league team as well as spending some time currently assisting with the Western Australian State Academy under 16’s team.
    • Kieren is currently completing in Master’s of Sports Physiotherapy and has a special interest in return to play testing as well as pre-season screening/baseline testing.
  • Abby Dixon
    • Abby has experience working at both Wesley Curtin Amateur Football Club for 5 years & managing the WAFL Colts at Perth for 2 years.
    • Abby has post graduate Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy and a special interest in chronic and complex sporting injuries around spine, hip & groin.
  • Luke Parker
    • Luke has a special interest in AFL having both played and coached football teams thereby providing a unique perspective to complement his physiotherapy skills
    • Luke is also a former Track & Field athlete himself and currently coaches athletics, giving him a deep understanding of the rehabilitation requirements to get footballers back high-speed running safely.
  • Rafael Baugh
    • Raf has many years of experience as a Physio working in elite and amateur sporting clubs including Willetton Amateur Football Club, Welsey Curtin Amateur Football Club and is also former Physio for the WA State School Boys.
