Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Newcastle | Masters of Sports Physiotherapy through LaTrobe University

Phoebe is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist working between clinical practice and high-performance teams to cover the full spectrum of Sports Physiotherapy.

Phoebe is the Lead Physiotherapist with West Coast Fever Netball Team and contract Physiotherapist with the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA). Phoebe has recently travelled with the Australian Aerials Team and previously Australian Para Alpine Team, to World Championships (Para Alpine 2023) and World Cup Series (Para Alpine 2022- 2023, Aerials 2023- 2024).

Phoebe has a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy, is trained in Clinical Pilates and yoga, and enjoys all aspects of physiotherapy from acute injury management to end-stage conditioning and return to sport. Phoebe has skills and experience working with an array of athletes from community to elite, and across a variety of sports – from endurance athletes to basketball, Australian football, waterpolo and winter sports.

In previous years Phoebe was Lead Physiotherapist for Subiaco Lions WAFL Club, Western Roar WANL Club, Eastern Suns NBL1 Club, Wesley College Rugby & Newcastle Knights Junior Rugby League Program.

Upon graduation from the University of Newcastle, Phoebe presented her research — Predisposing risk factors for Hamstring and Quadriceps muscle strain injuries — at both national and international conferences, including the World Congress of Physical Therapy, Australian Physiotherapy Conference and Sports Medicine Australia Conference. 

Following her own concussions, Phoebe has a special interest in Concussion assessment and management – reviewing sports, MVA/ compensable and community-based concussions. Phoebe has recently been elected Chair of the Western Australian Concussion Network, having previously held the Clinical Lead role.

Outside of physio, you will find Phoebe training and competing in both short and long course triathlon, running with friends, spending time at the beach with her husband and cocker spaniels. Before triathlon, Phoebe was a keen basketballer, playing SBL (now NBL1) and competed at State and National level in 29er and 49erfx sailing, earning a National Title (All Female) and a couple of World Cup appearances.
