Sports Scientist / Running and /or Triathlon Coach
Summary: We are seeking a Sports Scientist with a capacity for Athletics / Triathlon Coaching to join our industry leading team of Front Runner trained coaches.
About Front Runner Coaching: Since 2008, our coaching team has grown to become one of Australia’s largest and most successful coaching teams helping junior to masters, beginner to Olympic athletes achieve their personal health, fitness and performance goals. With industry leading staff training and education, combined with internal and external interdisciplinary relationships, we can help coaches achieve their full coaching potential.
Location: Front Runner HQ Wembley / Lake Monger
Basis: Permanent Part Time (16-24hrs with potential to expand as role develops)
Purpose: To deliver high quality Coaching services including but not limited to:
- Gait Analysis & Personal Running Training for Juniors & Recreational Athletes.
- Personal Training Programmes to help Junior, Junior Elite & Recreational athletes achieve their goals.
- Performance Clinical Testing
- Group Training Sessions for Trackstars; Junior Development, Schools & Recreational athletes.
- Consultancy to schools; government and corporate groups
Required Skills:
- Sports Science Degree or equivalent with ESSA accreditation
- Passion for helping people achieve their health, fitness and performance goals.
- Seeking a career as a professional Coach or Sports Scientist in Athletics / Running.
- Outstanding communicator able to communicate effectively internally & externally with clients, coaches, parents, referrers and relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to understand, rationalise and effectively reason coaching methodology and plans.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative high performance team to improve knowledge and systems of operation.
