Brenton is a highly motivated running coach who has been working with the Front Runner team since 2022. With a Level 2 Athletics Australia accreditation, Brenton has detailed knowledge in the areas of running technique, training methodologies, and performance optimisation.
Before transitioning into running, Brenton was actively involved in team sports, including hockey and football. His background in these sports has given him valuable insights into the importance of teamwork, discipline, and strategy. Additionally, Brenton is a regular at the gym and a cross-training advocate, recognising the benefits of strength and conditioning for overall athletic performance.
Balancing his coaching responsibilities with his demanding career as an engineer and being a devoted father, Brenton understands the value of time management and efficient training plans. His ability to relate to the challenges faced by busy runners allows him to tailor training programs that suit individual lifestyles while still maximising results.
Since 2020, Brenton has been guided by Front Runner Managing Director Raf Baugh, fuelling his passion for long-distance running. He achieved a sub-3 hour marathon at his first attempt in 2021 and has continued to lower his personal best down to an impressive 2.43 marathon in 2024.
As a running coach, Brenton’s approach is founded on a strong belief in the power of consistency, proper technique, and tailored training plans. He is committed to helping runners of all levels achieve their goals.
